As a wife, mother of three, friend, Soror (Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.), and educator, Nyah is a believer in the power of Jesus Christ through prayer. She is busy but thankful for life, love, and an opportunity to hit the reset button each day. Nyah is originally from Montgomery County, Maryland. Nyah is known for her transparent, realist approach; yet, she is grounded in the biblical principle of LOVE.
Fueled by her life experiences, Nyah is a passionate educator who advocates for equitable educational experiences and opportunities for at-risk youth and their families. She also believes strongly that the strength of today’s families is dependent upon the mental, emotional and physical wellness of the woman.
Nyah holds a B.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology from Old Dominion University, dual M.Ed degrees from Regent University in Reading Education and Educational Leadership. She is currently pursuing an Ed.D in Policy, Planning, and Leadership from The College of William & Mary. She serves as an Assistant Superintendent for a Virginia school division and believes that her natural ability to being committed to her decisions; yet flexible in her approach is what allows her to be exactly who God has called her to be personally and professionally.
